a feather in the stars

i often find myself contemplating whether our lives are predestined by the stars or just a collection of happy go lucky occurrences. never wanting to settle on either side, i'd rather enjoy pondering both views of existence.  on one hand, I embrace the freedom of thinking that every day is a new opportunity with boundless possibilities.on the other hand, it's comforting to know that there is a purpose in all the little lessons learned along our journey which eventually lead to some sort of truth in life.
With this balance, I can conclude that there just may be a deeper meaning to this incarnation.  but for now, the best I can do is be a witness to the incidents that cross my path ; take them in, grow from them, be conscientious of them, and know that in awareness there is always a chance for love.
As I usually read my horoscope daily, which is an ancient practice in reading the influence of cosmic energies on different zodiacs.. I've decided to balance this out by choosing a tarot card every day to see what the luck of the draw may hold.  Even though believing in tarot readings would simultaneously mean you believe in a certain destiny, i like the fact that in choosing my 1card out of the 78 possibilities for the day, i in some way have brought this fate upon me, and therefore, i have a say in my own destiny.

the wheel of fortune card  is one of the 22 cards of the major arcana.  as the 56 cards of the minor arcana reflect day to day events, the 22 cards of the major arcana reflect spiritual lessons in our life.  this card, as with all other tarots, can convey many different meanings as they depend on the individual at question as well as the interception of the other cards that come up.  in a reading the wheel of fortune tells you of a pivot point in your life, where new options become possible, that are distinctly personal and it may require making a first step on a new and unfamiliar path. Through meditation, the Wheel of Fortune can assist and reinforce your intention to bring increased abundance, good fortune and prosperity into your life. This card allows your life to turn in more positive directions if you are willing to grow and expand. this card indicates changes, and a new beginning of a life cycle.

"Through all the changes the Life brings, I feel the centre of stability which is within me."
-biddy's tarot reading

... as fate would have it, my horoscope today starts out wtih, "  You are craving emotional excitement, stimulation, and something new and alive."
