in every truth the opposite is equally true

'there is no reality except the one contained within us. that is why so many people live such an unreal life. they take the images outside them for reality and never allow the world within to assert itself.'

'the river is everywhere at the same time, at the source and at the mouth...in the ocean and in the mountains, everywhere, and that the present only exists for it, not the shadow of the past, nor the shadow of the future... not through reality...Nothing was, nothing will be, everything has reality and presence.'

'nirvana is not only a word, my friend; it is a thought.'

'during meditation it is possible to dispel time, to see simultaneously all the past, present and future, and then everything is good, everything is perfect, everything is Brahman.'

'when someone is seeking, it happens quite easily that he is only thinking of the thing he is seeking, because he has a goal, because he is obsessed with his goal.  seeking means: to have a goal; finding means: to be free, to be receptive, to have no goal.'

'he saw the water continually flowed and flowed and yet it was always there; it was always the same and yet every moment it was new.'

just finished reading siddhartha by herman hesse.  cherised the words as i took them in to my eyes... want them to stay in my brain..
